Book out of my past

Image result for lotr book The Lord of the Rings books by J.R. R. Tolkien are one of my favorite books that I have ever read when I was in middle school.  When I was in middle school I had to get A.R points from reading books and I am not a big fan of reading books.  I didn’t find any books that really got me interested in reading them.  One day, my mom comes home from work and brought me some books to read so I don’t fail my advisory class. Advisory class is pretty much reading or independent study class.  So out of all the books that my mom brought home from work, she told me that I should read the Lord of the Rings books. She said it about the free peoples of middle earth trying to defeat the dark lord Sauron who is trying to take over middle earth and turning the world into to darkness and destruction.  A Hobbit named Frodo Baggins is given a ring by his uncle and later learns of the terrible power of the one ring. He sets off on a Journey with eight other companions and tries to travel to Mordor and destroy the ring inside of a volcano called Mount Doom. The fellowship starts to breaking and Frodo splits up from the group with his friend Samwise Gamgee.  They travel dangerous roads and scary tombs, they get lost until they meet Gollum, a deformed person of a hobbit.  So he leads them to Mount Doom, but he betrays them and tries to take the ring. He falls into the lava with the ring in his hand and dies along with the ring being destroyed. Peace is brought back into middle earth.  My favorite part in the book is the battle of Minas Tirith. Gandalf the white wizard, takes control of the white city, and tries to defend and hold off the Orcs of Mordor. Sauron’s army consists of fifty thousand orcs, trolls, and wild beasts.  After a day of fighting, help comes to Minas Tirith. The people of Rohan coming from the north, and Aragon with the army of the dead coming from the south. The remaining orcs, who survived the battle, retreated back to Mordor to regroup with a second army.  I would recommend this book to Ivette Lopez, because this book has a lot of battles, compassion, and redemption. If you read this book you won’t be disappointed, trust me.

Two truths and One lie

One day when I was in the mountains at Lake Morena going bike riding with my cousin. we both bike ride up this big hill and my cousin decide to make a bet with me. The bet was "If you bike down this hill going super fast without stopping, I'll give you 100 dollars." So I ended biking down the hill super fast without getting a scratch and manage to score 100 dollars from my cousin.

Related image  I love playing video games a lot. I can literally play all if I wanted too. Let's just say I'm a real game freak, especially when it comes to shooter games. There's this one game that I play all the time. The game is called Rainbow six siege, and this game is really hard to play even if I play ranked I'll lose a game every time because of bad teammates, but I'm decent at it.  I'm good at other shooter games but this game is really difficult to play.

Image result for halloween poster 1978 I love watching horror movies. My favorite horror movie of all time will always "Halloween by John Carpenter" Micheal Myers will always be my favorite serial killer of all time. Whenever I feel watching a horror movie, my go to pick will be Halloween. I don't watch that movie all the time. Only like three times out of the week. I'll watch any horror movie. I'm not gonna lie, most of the movies scare me and sometimes they'll make me laugh too.

Saving private Ryan movies posters

  1. I decided to do my historical film on Saving Private Ryan. This film came out in the summer of July 24 1998. This is one of my favorite war movies I’ve always like to watch. I printed out two posters that describes this movie. One poster has the background all black. The meaning of the color black means death, fear of the unknown, and strength. Within that poster, it has five solders. One solider is sitting down and looking up, hoping for a miracle that he can survive the war and get his men back home to their families. Another solider that has a sniper rifle, he has a look of a warrior. He is determined to win the war even if it costs his life. The other three soldiers have the look of just wanting to survive the war and just go home. The other poster shows a battle scene of soldiers running out little ramp tank and heading towards the beach of Normandy. The background of the poster has dark clouds overcasting the beach with little bit of sun shine. There is a slogan on the poster that describes this movie. The slogan is “The mission is a man.”
  2. The creator of this ad wants the viewers’ attention on the soldiers who are trying to complete a mission of saving one man, who lost three brothers in war and he gets a chance to go back home to family. The message that the creator is sending us is that some people earn a chance to go back home.
  3. This movie is indented for the veterans who fought and survive the horrors of World War II. The advertisement of this movie is asking us to honor the men who fought bravely and gave their lives for our country.
  4. The visual element that really catches my attention is the poster of D-day. It shows soldiers running towards the beach, finding cover, and trying to take over the beach quickly as possible with minimal casualties.
  5. There is a lot of pathos in the poster with the five soldiers and within the movie. Each one has a different expression on their face filled will hope, fear of the unknown, strength, and having the will to survive.
  6. The titles on the two posters have a sense of seriousness, fear and hope. And the slogan of the movie “the mission is a man.” What I think that means is that these soldiers are willing to find this person and by completely their mission they hope that they can go back home.
  7. As mentioned in the poster of D-day, it shows soldiers trying to take the beach of Normandy. The thing that is being left out of the poster is pillboxes and wall where the guns are firing down on the soldiers on the beach.
